Psst… We have an events calendar
Webinars, talks, meetups, oh my! Check out the latest happenings with Raincoast and our communities.

It’s that time of year. Calendars are filling up faster than beaches on a sunny day, so we thought we’d better let you know about some incredible upcoming events, spanning from Victoria to Vancouver!
Anytime of year, you can stay on top of these events by visiting our events calendar, or get updates delivered right to you by signing up for our newsletter.
So what’s coming up in June?
Achiever joining Ocean Week Victoria at Fisherman’s Wharf
When: June 8th, 11am to 4pm
Where: Fisherman’s Wharf, 1 Dallas Rd, Victoria, BC V8V 0B2
This year, Ocean Week Victoria will be held from June 1 to June 8. Raincoast’s research sailing vessel Achiever will be joining World Ocean Day celebrations at Fisherman’s Wharf on Sunday, June 8. Stop by to learn about our ocean conservation work, and visit a working research vessel! Joining us will be over 20 organizations focused on ocean science, conservation, and education, who will be leading fun and educational activities.
“Swim” with Southern Resident killer whales at Critical Distance
When: June 6-8, varying times
Where: Studio 531, 546 Herald Street, Victoria, BC V8W 1S6
Also a part of Ocean Week Victoria, this AR experience takes you under the waves of the Salish Sea to meet life-size holographic versions of J-pod. Moving alongside them, you’ll discover how orcas use echolocation to communicate, hunt, and stay connected, even as threats like noise pollution and dwindling food supplies grow ever closer.
Get tickets and watch a preview.
Raincoast After Dark: Science and Chill at Patagonia Kitsilano
When: June 26th, 7-9pm
Where: Patagonia West 4th location, 1994 W 4th Ave, Vancouver, BC V6J 1M5
If you’ve ever wanted to learn more about what Raincoast is all about, but in a casual, fun setting – this one’s for you!
What does wolf poop smell like? What does the dog walking community have to do with salmon habitat restoration? What does a biologist do all day, really?
Raincoast team members Auston Chhor, Kristen Walters, Chavon Robertshaw, Priya Puri, Paige Roper and Samantha Rhodes will be hosting an evening at the Kitsilano Patagonia store to chat about all things salmon, wolves, forest, and more.
They’ll each be giving a short presentation to discuss their respective programs and the work they do everyday. But don’t think lecture – this will include games, Q&A’s, drinks, snacks, and more. It’s science…but less science-y. Come chill with us, we’d love to see you there!
Be sure to circle back to our events calendar to learn more later this month.
