Eat chocolate, save bears, win an epic trip
Denman Island Chocolate is giving supporters a chance to win an epic trip.
Denman Island Chocolate has committed to helping protect bears in the Great Bear Rainforest. They’ve made a new Grizzly Bar and proceeds will support the work of stopping the commercial trophy hunt, and they’ve generously created an opportunity for someone else to have a trip on the coast aboard the Achiever.
Eat chocolate, save bears, and win an epic trip. Tweet This!
The goal is save bears. The way is to work with Coastal First Nations, buy out more of the commercial trophy hunting tenures, and extinguish the trophy hunting of bears in those jurisdictions. Forever.
And, also, (this can’t be emphasized enough) the other goal is to eat chocolate.
There are two ways to enter this contest:
- Donate!
- Find a Grizzly Bar at an outlet near you (more on locations soon) and post a photo to Instagram, Twitter or Facebook of your #GrizzlyBar experience. Use the hashtag #GrizzlyBar so we can find you!
“I had the privilege of visiting the Great Bear Rainforest last fall with Raincoast and it was a life changing experience. With this campaign, someone else will have the chance to do the same.” – Daniel Terry

Raincoast’s in-house scientists, collaborating graduate students, postdoctoral fellows, and professors make us unique among conservation groups. We work with First Nations, academic institutions, government, and other NGOs to build support and inform decisions that protect aquatic and terrestrial ecosystems, and the wildlife that depend on them. We conduct ethically applied, process-oriented, and hypothesis-driven research that has immediate and relevant utility for conservation deliberations and the collective body of scientific knowledge.
We investigate to understand coastal species and processes. We inform by bringing science to decision-makers and communities. We inspire action to protect wildlife and wildlife habitats.
