Planting Activity at KELÁ_EKE Kingfisher Forest

April 22 @ 10:00 am 2:00 pm

A green poster that reads "Earth Week Restoration Activities"

Join us in celebrating this year’s National Volunteer Week and Earth Day by planting native trees, shrubs, and more at the newly restored wetland in KELÁ_EKE Kingfisher Forest! With our partners at the Pender Islands Conservancy, we will work together to plant native species, which will create habitat for wildlife, sequester carbon, and stabilize soils.

By restoring this wetland habitat, we are returning ecological integrity to KELÁ_EKE Kingfisher Forest that will cascade into lasting benefits for the local community and ecosystem alike. If you are unable to lend a hand but would still like to contribute, donations of baked goods, hot or cold beverages, and lunch items are welcome to keep our steadfast volunteers powered!
