Become a fundraiser!

You can become a fundraiser and help us to stop trophy hunting in the Great Bear Rainforest.

Help us safeguard coastal carnivores

When you sign up to fundraise for Raincoast, you will join our network of supporters who care about protecting wildlife throughout coastal British Columbia.

Sitting on the coast of British Columbia, Canada, the Southern Great Bear tenure covers 18,239 km2, more than a quarter of the Great Bear Rainforest. Purchasing this tenure protects dozens of species from being commercially trophy hunted as it gives us the exclusive rights to commercially guide trophy hunters.

We buy the rights to guide people to shoot wildlife – and our clients choose not to shoot the wildlife. It’s as simple as creating a fundraiser profile, and sharing your fundraising link with your friends and family.

It’s easy to become a fundraiser and your help is powerful. A bit of creativity also helps! Join us.

There are an infinite ways for you to connect with the people in your life and ask them to make a donation to save bears. You can be creative as you want. And you can decide where you want to put yourself in the comfort-discomfort zone.

You can get creative

Our fundraisers in the past have done long distance runs, created art and asked for donations instead of birthday or wedding gifts. The possibilities are endless!

I am a fundraiser for the Raincoast Conservation Foundation to stop trophy hunting in the Great Bear Rainforest!

Raincoast is working towards their goal of purchasing all the commercial trophy hunting tenures in the Great Bear Rainforest. Purchasing these tenures protects dozens of species from being commercially trophy hunted because it gives them the exclusive rights to commercially guide trophy hunters.

They already control the commercial hunting rights in five tenures, more than 38,000 km2 of the BC coast – an area larger than Vancouver Island or the entire country of Belgium.

Their next tenure is the Southern tenure, covering 18,239 km2, more than a quarter of the Great Bear Rainforest.
