Raincoasters at the Fingerling Festival: Wolves, Salmon, and Connected Ecosystems
May 2 @ 11:00 am – 3:00 pm

Join us on Saturday, May 2nd at the annual Fingerling Festival for a hands-on learning and community celebration. Hosted at the Noons Creek Hatchery in Port Moody, this free, family-friendly event brings together environmental organizations, educators and community members to celebrate the release of thousands of young salmon fingerlings into local waterways and their journey to the ocean.
Visit the Raincoast booth to explore the fascinating connection between wolves and salmon, and how these species are linked through coastal ecosystems. Learn how returning salmon support not only aquatic life, but also terrestrial wildlife like wolves, who rely on marine nutrients to sustain themselves and help distribute those nutrients across the landscape. Through visuals and conversation, we’ll share how understanding these connections can help inform conservation and stewardship efforts across the region.
Come connect, ask questions, and discover how protecting one species can help support an entire ecosystem.
