Raincoast is talking about wolves at the 2nd Annual Wild Wise Society Wildlife Coexistence Symposium

November 7 @ 9:30 am – 4:00 pm
Building on the success of last year’s event hosted by Wild Wise Society, this full-day symposium brings together experts and community members to explore how we can better coexist with the wildlife that shares our landscapes and coastlines.
Hear from guest speakers representing Vancouver Aquarium Marine Mammal Rescue, Raincoast Conservation Foundation, the BC Conservation Officer Service, and Wild Wise Society’s own dedicated volunteers. Together, they’ll share their knowledge and experiences working with species including seals, wolves, bears, and cougars, while discussing the challenges and opportunities of living alongside wildlife.
Raincoast’s director of wolf conservation, Chelsea Greer, will share insights into the hidden lives of wolves in British Columbia, drawing from wildlife research and conservation efforts to explore the challenges and opportunities of living alongside these often misunderstood animals.
Throughout the day, you’ll also have the opportunity to visit educational booths hosted by organizations such as the Commercial Bear Viewing Association, OceanWise and many others, offering practical information, resources, and opportunities to learn more about wildlife stewardship and coexistence.
