Forest walk with Priya Puri

September 22 @ 1:30 pm 3:30 pm

Celebrate National Forest Week at KELÁ_EKE Kingfisher Forest.

National Forest Week  is celebrated annually in the third week of September, this year taking place from September 20th – 26th, 2026. The theme of this year’s National Forest Week is “Forest Pathways: Innovation and Sustainability”, with daily sub-themes for each day of the week and several contests happening all week long.

On Tuesday, September 22nd from 1:30 – 3:30 PM, join Priya, Raincoast’s Forest Conservation Program Coordinator, to explore the daily sub-theme of “Smart Monitoring & Management in our Forests” through an immersive walk and talk at KELÁ_EKE Kingfisher Forest. From engaging our senses through forest bathing, to learning about forest monitoring techniques, to seeing the real-time impacts of active forest management in KELÁ_EKE Kingfisher Forest, we will learn all about what it means to monitor and manage a forest nature reserve. To end off our walk and talk, we will put our new knowledge to the test by playing a game of forest-themed Jeopardy to take part in #TreeviaTuesday!
