Closing of job posting: Species Monitoring and Outreach Technician
March 15, 2024 @ 11:50 pm - 11:59 pm
Raincoast Conservation Foundation is looking to hire a Species Monitoring and Outreach Intern for a 16-week term with possibility of extension. This partially remote, partially field-based position will include assisting with vegetation surveys and other baseline monitoring which will inform the development of long-term management and restoration plans for two conservation properties located on North Pender Island, British Columbia. The position will also include data entry and management, some outreach and event coordination work, and maintaining important partnerships.
Because Raincoast is a completely remote organization, the desk-based portion of the position will require that the successful candidate has access to their own computer, a reliable internet connection, and an adequate place to work when not in the field. The field-based portion will take place on North Pender Island and the Saanich Peninsula. As such, applicants must be located in an area that makes travel to these locations feasible.
