Bid, win, win again: our online auction is live!

You don’t have to be going to the Ocean Science Awards to bid on these epic gifts from our generous supporters.

Our 2025 Raincoast Ocean Science Awards auction is live. From now until November 20, you can shop from your favourite brands and artists. You don’t need to be attending the award ceremony to bid on and win one of these west coast treasures.

From outdoor gear to unforgettable experiences, this year’s auction offers items donated to Raincoast from businesses committed to furthering ocean science and coastal conservation.

100% of auction proceeds drive our mission to safeguard the lands, waters, and wildlife of coastal British Columbia.

Our auction fundraising efforts this year will support an exciting collaborative project launched to advance our understanding of killer whale communication. Using hydrophones, drones, and machine learning (AI), we aim to reveal how killer whales use sound to share information and maintain complex relationships in an increasingly noisy ocean.

Your bids help support this evolving effort that blends science, technology, curiosity, and conservation.

You can help

Raincoast’s in-house scientists, collaborating graduate students, postdoctoral fellows, and professors make us unique among conservation groups. We work with First Nations, academic institutions, government, and other NGOs to build support and inform decisions that protect aquatic and terrestrial ecosystems, and the wildlife that depend on them. We conduct ethically applied, process-oriented, and hypothesis-driven research that has immediate and relevant utility for conservation deliberations and the collective body of scientific knowledge.

We investigate to understand coastal species and processes. We inform by bringing science to decision-makers and communities. We inspire action to protect wildlife and wildlife habitats.
