Raincoast takes part in 1% for the Planet, an international organization whose members commit to donating  at least 1% of their annual sales directly to environmental organizations. Their mission is to “accelerate smart environmental giving and prevent greenwashing.”

1% for the Planet was created 20 years ago by Yvon Chouinard and Craig Mathews as a way for businesses to hold themselves accountable for the environmental impact. Together with its environmental partners, the movement works to solve our planet’s most pressing issues.
